• Vodafone unveils solar powered umbrella that charges your phone with sun-juice

  • Visiting outdoor festivals now becomes more mobile-phone-friendly with Vodafone’s recent unveiling, a solar-powered umbrella that juices up mobile devices! Called the Booster Brolly, this one functions like a regular umbrella, protecting you from the rain and the scorching sun and also charges up your phone in bright sunshine while helping boost your phone’s signal. Put into being by Dr Kenneth Tong of University College London, the Booster Brolley also sports an LED torch along with a hands-free rack for your mobile phone and is capable of charging your device in just three hours using 12 lightweight flexible solar panels.
