Vulcan actually exists and in Alberta Canada no less, a town for true Trekkies

When Trekkies decide to do something to celebrate their favorite TV show, it’s never usually something small and blah. But this story actually dates back to 1915, long before Star Trek hit the tube. There’s a town in Alberta, Canada that was named Vulcan, and obviously because of the Roman Mythology and not the TV show. So guess what the people of Vulcan (the town not the planet) did when the show hit the waves? They turned their little town into a giant shrine for the show with all kinds of neat themed features all over the town. They even have a sort of language all to themselves and a plaque in Klingon. What really got my attention was the large almost-a-copy of the USS Enterprise. It’s not the typical Enterprise model, and I’m not sure why. So if you’re ever venturing up north from the US, Trekkie fans, you will not want to miss out on this quaint little stop.
