• Wahoo Fitness Blue HR is world’s first Bluetooth Smart Heart Rate monitor

  • There is no dearth of Bluetooth heart rate monitors on the market but Wahoo Fitness claims that its latest offering, Blue HR, is top of the heap stuff for it’s the world’s first Bluetooth Smart heart rate monitor. This petit device here turns your smartphone into something that is capable of giving you stats and details about your heart rate. It uses Bluetooth technology to transmit live readings to the user’s paired up smartphone when the monitor is strapped around your body.

Through the smartphone app, one can check out their heart rate information in real-time, monitor their calories being burned, and more. For now, the app is an iPhone exclusive and we don’t know how soon it will come on other platforms. the Blue HR is called to be compatible with other apps like Runkeeper and MapMyRun, so this is a good enough incentive for those who are already using these apps. The device will work with all Bluetooth Smart Ready devices and hit shelves in January for a price tag of $80.
