Rovio has launched latest iteration in its popular series of Angry Birds games called Angry Birds Go! The series that took the world by storm with its lovable characters and puzzle games in which you hurl birds at green pigs has finally deviated from its original set-up with its latest offering. Launched day before, the free-to-play Angry Birds Go is a Mario-Kart styled racing game with unmistakable original Angry Birds touch and addictive game play. The players will for the first time get to see the sling shot and the birds in 3D as they race behind the wheel of a downhill kart on twisty tracks through Piggy Island.

Tapped Out, FOX and TinyCo. have teamed to develop a new story-driven adventure/simulation game based on the epic Family Guy series. Fox Digital Entertainment has announced the Family Guy game for the iOS and Android platforms as a free-to-play game. It will be a fair while before the game launches but from what we hear, the development process is on in full swing at San Francisco-based game studio, TinyCo. The game will feature numerous instances that focus on the show’s story line, which has been built quite successfully through the years. So, there’s a lot of moving around Quahog and interacting with player simulations along the way. The game will involve microtransactions along the way so better be ready to pay up.

The Monopoly game has always been all about passing around fake notes, buying virtual property and laughing at your opponent every time he/she ends up parking at a property you own. This new Monopoly set we spotted however is a little different from the ordinary, given the fact that it sports The Walking Dead theme, crafted after the popular show on television. The game is developed in collaboration with toymaker Hasbro and AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” based on the comic by Robert Kirkman. The Walking Dead Monopoly set features jaw-dropping art by Kirkman himself, while the chance cards are zombie-themed.

Finally there is a scientific study that confirms playing video games has its own benefits. And mind you, the benefits we’re talking of aren’t insignificant in any way; researchers in Berlin have concluded through an experiment that playing video games can make the grey matter in your brain bigger and increases memory formation, spatial orientation, strategic planning, and fine motor skills, something gamers have been claiming for years. The experiment was conducted by a Berlin-based research team at Max Planck Institute for Human Development and Charite University Medicine St. Hedwig-Krankenhaus in which they a group of 23 adults were made to play Super Mario 64 on a Nintendo DS XXL for 30 minutes every day for two months.

It’s so long we’ve wondered how Megan Fox would fit into the all new Call of Duty: Ghosts ad, but well, there’s finally something to see as visual proof and well, it features the lovely lady in all her wholeness. There’s a new video up there that showcases all the new features of the game in a pretty cool promo video. The game features a German Shepard named Riley as well and it so happens that he hogs up more footage in this commercial that one of the world’s most sexiest women. Her inclusion in the promo lets users know and remember that this version of the famous CoD franchisee allows you to play as a female soldier.

Attack of the giant Xbox One; Pledge your gamertag to see what’s hidden inside the oversized console
Microsoft, in some form of oversized pre-launch promotion has placed a giant Xbox One somewhere in Vancouver, Canada. The promotion, being called One Source will allow Canadian Xbox gamers to pledge their gamertags to try and “unlock” the secrets that this humongous Xbox One holds. Although reports haven’t quite stated just how large this oversized console is, it’s estimated to be about 2.5-3 meters in height. Just how the gamertags will be accepted whether it’ll be via online options only or directly entered into the giant console is not yet revealed. As of now however, Canadian Xbox Live online space does however have an offer gamers one can avail of one-of-a-kind experiences and rewards by pledging gamertags to the One Source project.

Call of Duty ads have been known for showcasing big talent the likes of which include Kobe Bryant (?!) and Jimmy Kimmel for Balck Ops, Mordern Warfare 3 that showcased the talents of Jonah Hill and Sam Worthington and Black Ops II which features Iron Man Robert Downey Jr. Their ads are so crazy, start studded and more importantly, effective in garnering attention for their new games, that they even won CMO of Activision, Tom Ellis, 2013′s Grand Effie and Adweek’s Brand Genius award. Is that accolade or what!
