Smart TVs are totally in and cool and all but then are they really gateways for data thefts? A new LG Smart TV owner cried out to the world claiming that LG was collecting information from his personal data repositories such as USBs, even when the collection of information is turned off. Now the real issue is that this is not wholly denied by LG as they have smartly added it as part of the Terms and Conditions. A similar flag was raised against Samsung Smart TVs some time back. The blogger, DoctorBeet, did a bit of study and came across what they call a “creepy corporate video” for LG Smart Ads, which claims to have an “intelligent platform” that analyzes users’ favorite programs based on keywords and their online behavior. These are made out by customer eye tracking tests. A lot of this can be read at DoctorBeet’s blog. Head after the jump to read LG’s response.

Luxury and sound are one thing. Bling-power is something altogether different. This is a lot like what we would want to expect from the Beats series of headphones by Dr. Dre. The all new Gold Mixr does not hold back on that count by any degree. Available in a special-edition pair of Mixr headphones, these cool headphones are available in white and rose gold colorway. These pack an industrial strength sound courtesy of 40mm drivers that promise ‘deep bass notes and a low frequency range with a custom diaphragm for smooth mids and highs, along with a design enabling a full 270-degree pivot radius’. That’s some way to get the groove kicking in while looking too cool, even for an audiophile.

When it comes to the luxury of sound, and no, that’s not a typo, companies like Bang & Olufsen are usually at the top of the heap, king of the hill, A number one, to quote Mr. Sinatra. Their latest speaker collection, part of the Immaculate Wireless Sound Concept, BeoLab series features the company’s unique design idiom as well as the new WiSA standard for multi-channel wireless audio. WiSA (Wireless Speaker and Sound Association) operates at the 5 GHz wireless U-NII frequency spectrum and is said to be completely unaffected by interference from other wireless networks using different frequencies. It’s also combined with what the company says is a superior dedicated 24-bit, uncompressed audio quality digital sound engines and custom-made components that should be the very best way to deliver audio to your surroundings. All one needs to do is plug the active speakers into the mains in a room with any WiSA-compliant transmitter in order to link them wirelessly to your TV, Blu-ray player or set-top box. JVC Kenwood have announced the release of an all new CLX series speaker dock system the CLX-80. The dock will feature a Lightening terminal for the latest iPhones (5 and above) as well as support for older generation iPones and iPods. It comes with all the trimmings and more. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen an iPod/iPhone dock with a built in CD-R/RW player as well so the CLX-80 is a refreshing change. But just because it has an iPhone slot that doesn’t mean it’s not for the Android, WP8 or BB10 users. Being Bluetooth (3.0 with A2DP/AVRCP) compliant allows you to connect the dock to any smartphone or supported device for audio streaming. If battery drain is your worry you could always connect your phone or media device via the AUX in option.

Panasonic SC-NA30 and SC-NA10 BT speakers are designed with style and great audio performance in compact forms
Panasonic is gearing up to launch a couple of portable Bluetooth speakers namely the SC-NA30 and the SC-NA10. Both of these speakers feature built-in batteries and enhanced deep bass playback features. Panasonic claims that the NA30 is capable of dishing out audio for a good 14 hours of playback. It also features Panasonic’s aptX low latency high-performance audio codec that decodes low-compressed, high-quality audio data. It also features a subwoofer and double passive radiators. Thanks to its lightweight, rigid mica speaker material and neodymium magnet the speaker’s amplitude is supposed to be efficiently increased so the overall tone quality should be optimized. All of this is compressed into a rather slim looking design.
