It’s where we all are one moment and then dissolve into ambiguity, far, far away. Created by 22-year-old graphic designer Tyler Christmas, these stunning beer bottles pay tribute to the Star Wars series and promises fan-boys quite a few happy experiences in the company of their idols. The three labels we spotted and totally fell for were the Darth Vader, Stormtrooper and Boba Fett illustrations. There isn’t much about how closely bitter or sweet the flavors are, depending on the characters they portray, but the labels are enough of an incentive to plunge our livers into the desired stupor.

Dubai is known to play home to some of the most exotic cars in the world, but what do its wealthy citizens decide to race? Camels of course! Camel racing has long been the sport of choice for the people of Dubai and as the name goes, the sport involves camels racing against each other, just simple as that. The simplicity of camel racing has been given an overhaul over the years however and these animals owned by the royal families of the United Arab Emirates are now stamped with electronic chips for identification! But that’s not what surprises us! These camels are not ridden by flesh and blood jockeys, but by robots, complete with mechanical whips to encourage the animals! The robots are controlled remotely by owners who drive parallel to the track in identical SUVs.

Teen spends about $736 on eBay only to receive an image of the Xbox One in the epic-most eBay fails of all time
Ever heard of the term ‘WYSIWYG’? It stands for ‘What You See Is What You Get’. Some may argue that it does not stand true for the hoard of products that are sold with images bearing a disclaimer of being ‘for representation purposes only’. Sometimes, a few of us get carried away with images of a hay stack and would love to put some money in and own it. Peter Clatworthy learned never to trust what you see in the representation images on eBay. With a hopeful heart and a budget ready for ambush, he shelled about £450 (~$736) for an Xbox One console. The 19-year old lad from Bilborough was, of course, stunned by what he finally received. The online populous reacted to the story with over 250,000 views! Well, it is funny in a way but if you have paid for something this expensive, you rather get something tangible and then be laughed at rather than landing up empty-handed. eBay anyway refunded him for his losses. Head after the jump for the real deal in the story.

There’s so much we look forward to when we set out to work every day. Most of it is at the destination and not during the journey to work, which is often perceived as time wasted. Robert Bacon has designed a cool map/poster for Ript that changes the way we look at the regular routes taken to commute daily. The Super Mario World-style MTA map is available in two sizes and is also available for other epic cult games. These include Zelda and Donkey Kong.

We are used to being overly surprised by Honda. Their uncanny knack to pull of something really inspiring and brilliant is pretty much commonplace in the minds of those who desire novelty. A video of an airbag, specially designed to protect cellphones from impacts and more. Called the Case N, the airbag is looks like a pretty good way to ensure that your expensive phone doesn’t fall to pieces. It’s true that the idea is good and all but alas, the video happens to be a fake. Now we’re in that infinite look of consideration of whether it really is a fake or the news of it being a fake is fake. Well, time and Honda could help us solve that riddle.

Oh that feeling of being the center of attention and every financial transaction! Most of us would not make history enough in this lifetime to feature on the official currency coins and postage stamps of our respective nations but hey, all Evangeline Lilly had to do was, well, act her way into it. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug star plays Tauriel in the movie, owing to which she now holds a significant spot in the country’s history. “I’m on a stamp and coin from Middle-earth. It doesn’t get much cooler than that,” said Lilly. The long-faithful fan of the series said, “I have so much love for New Zealand and so I’m honoured that she is showing me such love.”

New Zealand is the location of choice for many producers who want to portray a land back in time, untouched by the scum of civilization. So it goes without saying that Peter Jackson would not have to think twice before finalizing locations for the shoot of the Hobbit Trilogies. The all new ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ movie is up for release and with it, we have a number of headlines being made, such as the amazing Smaug aircraft.
