Apple knew the iPhone 4 would have antenna issues, why didn’t they do anything about it?

Apple’s antenna reception saga has taken a rather ‘sinister’ (for lack of a better word) twist. According to Bloomberg, it seems like Apple already knew that or at least had some knowledge that the iPhone 4 would have reception issues because of the antenna. Apparently a senior Apple antenna engineer has informed the company awhile back during the handsets testing phase that he had concerns regarding the antenna. The ‘Death Grip’ scenario has become like one of those movies where an unknown scientist warns us of impending doom and government big wigs dismiss the notions as being unsubstantiated. We all know what happens next… the world is thrown into chaos, millions die and so on. Of course this isn’t exactly the same but, if this information is true, Apple is in a heap of trouble. Let’s see what comes out of their press conference today.
