The ultra-futuristic ‘Superbus’ is made from lightweight carbon fiber and can travel in speeds excess of 250 kmh (155 mph). It sports business class interiors and is touted by the Dutch Government who is funding its development as a future vision of sustainable public transport. Eco-friendly is certainly hard to find with ‘comfort’ and ‘speed’. The superbus is powered by four electric motors and has an onboard radar to avoid collisions. The bus is to run on dedicated lanes built in residential areas. It can join the rest of the traffic when it comes closer to the city centre.
