Acoustic Cannon wards off pirates

What can beat the idea of using an acoustic cannon, used to thwart away pirates who were attempting to vandalize a ship in Somali waters. The crew of the ship managed to use their heads to bring together a fantastic contraption that caught the bullet-ready pirates by surprise. The cannon is also known as a Long Range Acoustic Device (LRAD). It is capable of producing a loud sound that can screw up one’s hearing capabilities to good measure. It is also said to have effect on vision.

These cannons are a great means of getting those wretched pirates to shore, all stone deaf and dazed out. A cruise ship called the Seaborn Spirit benefited from this means of defense when it was attacked by pirates.
