Alex e-reader is the first one of its kind that works on Android

Spring Design took the veil off the first Android-based reader. Besides the well accepted interface it also flaunts cool dual, individual displays. The main screen is a good six inches large and uses e-ink. The secondary display is a 3.5 inch color LCD screen that acts as a browser that helps you search online content. The finds can later be moved up to the main display for viewing. Other features of the Alex e-reader include in-book media playback, Wi-fi radio, stereo speaker, SD card expansion slot and 3G support (via EV-DO).

There’s no word on the pricing and availability of the Alex e-reader however we may find some uncanny resemblance between this reader and the one we spoke about not so long ago.
