Amazing Wooden Mirror

Tech freaks must have stumbled across this mirror quite some time back, but those of who have not the Wooden Mirror was first built in 1999 by Daniel Rozin. It is made of hundreds of square pieces of wood, 830 to be precise each connected to a servo motor. A hidden video camera determines how dark each pixel (wooden block in this case) should be and the motor rotates the respective block.

  1. It’s not a projector … it’s many, many wooden tiles that rotate, which has the effect of changing their perceived shade. Kinda works a little like black and white monitor pixels.
