Android is making a killing in the market and might even have Apple a little freaked. In a new set of stats from Canalys, a research firm, Android device shipments have increased a staggering 886% year-on-year from the second quarter of 2009. Holy Google Lovers Batman! Android smartphones are extremely popular right now even with the iPhone 4 making waves. Devices like Samsung’s Galaxy S, HTC’s Desire and Sony Ericsson’s new Xperia Range are making mobile users go nuts for choice. Let’s not forget those tablets that will be out soon that will also be running the Android OS. Android is definitely here to stay and I for one can’t wait to see newer versions. Bring on the Gingerbread man!
