Apple’s iPhone to soon have Firefox Home, which seems like everything but the browser

So the fennec browser is something that we Firefox users are seriously looking forward to. If it proves to be as good as the desktop version Opera, IE and now even the iPhone’s Safari are in for a serious fight. Mozilla has been working on an app for the iPhone that’s going to be akin to the Firefox Sync (or Weave Sync) technology. It’s simply called Firefox Home. From Firefox browsing history, bookmarks and tabs from your most recent browser session on the PC to Firefox “Awesome Bar” capability, the app will have it all. Best part is, it’s free.
Mozilla says that Firefox Home for iPhone is part of a broader effort to provide a more personal Web experience with more user control. Since they can’t provide the “full” Firefox browser (either technically or due to policy) experience, their idea is to provide users with an “on the go” option with instant access to their personal Firefox usage on their mobile devices and now the iPhone as well. So maybe Safari doesn’t have too much to worry about.
