Apple’s new iPad costs more to build, yet priced the same!

Apple’s newly launched brainchild, the next generation iPad, seems to be sucking the profits out of the manufacturer’s vaults. The new device that’s priced roughly about the same as the previous iPad 2, is more expensive to build. The guys at IHS iSuppli ripped apart the first new iPad they could get their hands on and figured the components inside were more expensive than usual. Apple seems to have focused more on selling larger numbers of the iPad this time around with less priority given to the hoards of cash piling in without having to worry too much, given that the company is profitable overall, making a whopping $33 billion in net income on $81 billion in revenue just last year! The new iPad priced at $729 costs about $364.35 to build, 9% more than the iPad 2! Well, we haven’t got anything to complain about though, given that we’re all to ready to enjoy more features at the same price!
