I’m duty bound to give you the latest gripe on the Apple front so please bear with me if this whole new iPod issue gets a bit overbearing for you. We all know that the new iPod must be ready somewhere in the pips of the Apple Estate, but they are surly not forthcoming with the details leading to rise in speculations and hype. The revamped iPod line is expected to be unveiled on Wednesday and with this launch the rumor-mills are into overdrive; will it feature full or wide-screen, with touch control, version of the digital music player, video in the player, the questions are endless. Apparently European journalists have been invited by Apple to attend a briefing at the BBC’s headquarters in London. The assembled reporters are to view a live broadcast of a presentation given by Steve Jobs, the Apple chief executive. Goldman Sachs’ analyst David C. Bailey feels that the revamped iPod line-up will feature the much-anticipated full-screen video iPod.
In other related news, NBC Universal is not renewing its contract with iTunes. It seems that NBC wanted more control over the pricing of its content but was snubbed.
