Bang & Olufsen have unveiled the BeoVision 4, which is a 103-inch plasma TV, that they feel is the perfect answer to beat the recession blues. The Plasma screen is designed with a big triangular BeoLab 10 centre speaker panel on its front – with a very attractive metallic pole-based stand behind it. Considering how monstrously heavy the screen must be, the stand features an integrated surround sound solution, too, with 14 – BeoLab speakers with Adaptive Sound Technology. In order to keep the screen calibrated, every 120 hours, the Plasma automatically re-calibrates itself, which is pretty cool and surely useful.
Bang & Olufsen seems to be using the Panasonic 103-inch TH-103PF9 panel, which costs $70,000, and adding its own branding with a little extra margin and pricing the BeoVision 4 for approx $136,220. I mean who wouldn’t want to shell $60K more for the B&O name these days?
