Bird Electron Japan has announced the ‘EZISON 0’ passive speaker. Made from aluminum the speaker looks more like a fancy belt buckle. It connects via 3.5mm plug and draws power from the source itself. It measures 73×76×32mm and weighs a hefty 180 grams. There is no volume control but just a switch for ‘high’ and ‘low’ output. The speakers are available in Japan for 6980 Yen ($ 70) in red and white color as well as in gold, silver and blue with a metallic finish (7350 Yen – $73) and in limited numbers.
