One of the biggest energy problems we face daily is the realization or just the guilt of not knowing if we have turned the lights off in our home as we leave for work. Sure there are Hi-Tech controls that let you remotely control your home lighting with a click of a mouse from anywhere on the globe, but what if you don’t have that solution in your home. We are all not living in Bill Gate’s Mansion, so Black & Decker has come out with a unique solution in the Lights out AutoSwitch. This device is a motion-activated sensor that is able to automatically turns lights on or off, when it senses no activity in the room. It is easy to install with no wiring required. It mounts right on top of any household toggle light switch, and even features an adjustable timer which lets you turn off the lights 1, 5, 15 or 30 minutes after the room is empty.

The Lights out AutoSwitch runs on three AA batteries (not included); and does not need any electrical connections. The price of this device will be soon announced.
