Blackberry 8707

blackberry.jpgBlackberry has debuted its first 3G phone in the market, the 8707v, which is based on the concept of BlackBerry 8700 series of devices with the added support for UMTS 2100. The “v” in “8700v” clearly indicates that it is a Vodafone device and the device comes loaded with features such as full QWERTY keyboard, GPRS, Bluetooth 2.0 and EDGE technologies. But unlike the recent messaging devices, 8700v lacks Wi-Fi, no chance of expandable memory (internal memory comprises of 64 Mb of Flash memory plus 16Mb dynamic RAM) and no MP3 player and camera. Perhaps this device will only suit the temperaments of the businessmen who look for ease of use.

The 8707v comes with a 320×240 pixel display, a web browser and PIM functions. It goes without saying that the BlackBerry 8707v supports standard internet email protocols and BlackBerry push email. It can also view a variety of document formats, including Microsoft Office, Corel WordPerfect and Adobe PDF files.. but now the 8707v can download these attachments much more quickly. Well you can also pair this device to your notebook and 8700v can serve as a decent modem. Vodafone Germany and RIM reveals that 8707v will be available very soon; presumably followed by other Vodafone regions.
