It comes with an 18-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, a Digic 5 image processor and 9 AF points, though only one cross-type at the centre. It additionally offers support for faster UHS-I SD cards means, a 3-inch capacitive touchscreen, The hybrid CMOS AF system for videographers, 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 STM kit lens and some creative filters to have fun. It is plain that the camera does borrow a lot of features from the 650D.
