If you talk about a giant sensor then it cannot double this. Canon has previewed their awesome, new 120 megapixel camera that sports thee world’s largest sensor. The CMOS sensor is APS-H sized and is 7.5 times larger than the EOS 1D Mark IV sensor. It will also have good performance with capabilities like 13280×9184 pixel still image shots and 1080p recording with 1/60th of its usable pixels. The speed in the operability of the camera is achieved by improving the technique used to manage readout circuit timing that would in-turn allow more pixels spontaneously. This camera may not see the light of day, or may be Canon will roll the camera out and surprise us all. We’re hoping the latter is true.
