Crime is a universal phenomenon, but in places like Kenya it’s more rampant than others. I visited the country many years ago and still recollect how my host’s car was stolen in broad daylight and we couldn’t do much about it. However I have come across this story that reports that a high school diploma holder named Morris Mbetsa has invented a system that alerts a car owner about a potential theft via the mobile phone. The system kicks off when the car is started giving the owner the options to either kill the cars engine by sending it a code; eve’s drop on the thieves’ conversation or call in the cops. Maybe I can notify my friends about this system. If I do learn more, I will surely update you guys.
