Chevy’s upcoming ‘Green’ car the Volt was recently ‘sent’ out for a bit of test run. A few of these ‘test pilots’ have graciously posted stuff about the cars performance on various sites and what grabbed my attention was the in-car system. I guess there are all kinds of ‘test pilots’ I prefer to see what’s inside the car rather than what’s under the hood. The Volt comes with a touch sensitive dashboard, I have no idea why since the whole idea of a dash is to provide information and not take too much. It has some sort of “friendly horn” that could be adjusted depending on the surroundings. Weird, but at the same time oddly sensible. It’s iPhone friendly for a which an app can be installed onto your handset for remote-unlock and remote-start. The Chevy Volt is due out November 2010, no price tag yet.
Chevy’s Volt get’s previewed, in-car system is geek lovers banquet and plays very nice with iPhone
