Brazilian fashion retailer C&A recently came up with an innovative way to connect the virtual world with reality recently, with this swank new idea. The brand has set up a dedicated Facebook page with pictures of its clothes on display. The “Likes” of page visitors are recorded and displayed in real-time on specially designed clothes-hangers at the brand’s store. This simply helps shoppers understand the online popularity of a particular outfit, helping them make a better choice while picking out clothes for themselves.
This however on the flipside could pretty much lead to generic buying behaviors with people choosing to conform to what everyone else thinks is in trend, killing the essence of individualism.
