Come to Japan and take home Shape of the Angle – a 3D replica of the fetus as memorabilia

If you are an expecting couple you know how important that ultrasound scan of you fetus is for you – so much so that you wish you can have it as a memorabilia forever. A Japanese firm Fasotec has sensed the need and has thus in collaboration with Parkside Hiroo Ladies Clinic in Mintao-ku, Tokyo devised ‘Shape of the Angle’, a miniature 3D replica of the fetus that you can actually keep as a memorabilia for the rest of your life. The process requires the fetus to be photographed using MRI, the photo is then processed with a custom built 3D software. A 3D printer is then used to create the resin for the mother’s body and the white resin for the fetus.

The parents looking to capture the baby in the womb in 3D will have to travel to Parkside Hiroo Ladies Clinic in Tokyo and shell out 100,000 yen (US $1,230) for a single 90x60x40mm Shape of the Angle’ model. The Shape of the Angle is in actual appearance as it is in the womb and is provided by the clinic in a graceful while jewelry box to the parents.
