Dell and Baidu join forces to launch smartphone in China


In an effort to tap the ever-growing mobile phone market in China, Dell has tied links with China’s largest search engine website, Baidu, boasting of an 80% market share in all internet searches in China. The two companies together, plan to launch an Android-based smartphone using the Yi platform by Baidu. China currently has the world’s largest mobile phone market with roughly about 900 million mobile phone users, and Dell has done a great job selling Windows-based and Android-packing phones in other regions around the world. Steady steps taken by the renowned PC vendor, we hope Dell does a good job of this one with Baidu!
