It’s a fire extinguisher gone compact. We don’t have too much info on how the Sat 119 throwable firefighting pack actually works, but the video below clearly shows an easily breakable container filled with a blue chemical liquid that’s seems very effective at extinguishing fires. Its quick absorbing of the fire only indicates that it creates a chemical reaction that absorbs enough oxygen in the immediate vicinity to simply suffocate the flames – which also indicates that you definitely don’t want to be anywhere near it when the container breaks.

The Sat 119 is available from Rakuten for $71 (¥6,090) which comes with two condiment packs of the chemical substance for smaller kitchen fires.
