With so many gizmos and gadgets in our daily life, functioning without them is quite a task. Most of them being wireless paraphernalia need to be charged every few hours/days. Charging them all together or even one at a time mean more wires too tie you down! This is where our multi-utility desk enters to save us from the charge-wires that threaten to take over our desk space (ideally meant for keeping files and office papers!). Office furniture maker Herman Miller Inc. has a license from Fulton Innovation for eCoupled, a system that eliminates the need for dedicated chargers. eCoupled charges the gadgets through a magnetic field, the eCoupled device itself needs electricity. Everything else charges upon contact with the magnetic field. Endorsing this desk is the director of the Association of Professional Office Managers, Mr. Jim Lynch. According to him, this desk will eliminate the need to have separate adaptors for the gadgets, thus saving money and reducing costs.
