Computex 2011 brings fresh life to the world of e-book readers with ECS’ new color reader. EB-850R is what the Taiwanese company has named their soon to be out device. It will sport an 8-inch display screen that is ‘color resistive’. So much for jargons then. It will be powered by a Wondermedia 8650 CPU and will run Android Froyo. Other specifications tell us about 2G/3G options, 256MB to 512MB RAM, internal storage capacity ranging from 2GB to 32GB, microSD expansion, 2G/3G storage and support for all leading document and media formats.

There’s nothing on the price or the release date of the reader. We’re looking forward for more products from lesser e-book makers soon.
