Emirates to gain HP ElitePad 900 Windows 8 to help airline staff, passengers

Exemplary customer service has its benefits, but with a brand like Emirates, it’s often over the top. The company has gone on to include Windows 8 tablets among their staff utilities to enhance customer service and employee training. They plan to outfight all their flights with HP ElitePad 900 slates, which will be loaded with a customized Knowledge Driven Inflight Service (KIS) app. This application will enable on-the-spot feedback, seat upgrades and staff notifications.

The company plans to start slow with only 100 tablets by the end of January, which should increase to 1,000 by the end of the year. It’s not something new to Emirates. We’ve been seeing them leverage digital assistance, on board, for a while now.
