While the Google Glass might be all that’s on people’s minds lately, one technology company has been sneakily developing its own rendition of smart glasses! Epson has launched the Moverio previously and has now launched its second smart glasses, the Epson Moverio BT-200. With a bunch of more features than its predecessor, the BT-200 is about 60% lighter too and promises to turn as many heads as possible as you wear them in public. Sleek and minimalist, the Moverio BT-200 comes with a true binocular display with an LCD-based projection lens system. Apart from this, these glasses also include optical light guides in each side of the glasses.

The extremely advanced binocular optical system projects see-through overlays of digital content onto the real-world. All of this is placed in the center of the wearer’s field of vision. This, as the company claims and we also believe, allows for a seamless blend between the world outside and the virtual display. The Epson Moverio BT-200 also makes augmented reality applications a breeze to use, given the fact that it blends so well with the natural surroundings. The front-facing camera, built in motion sensors, and a dual screen enabling 3D display makes the BT-200 an irresistible buy with a price tag of about $700.
