Epson recently pulled the veil off a 3D head-mounted display called the Moverio BT-100 that has left us predicting the fate of televisions screens. A great way to selfishly watch high resolution movies in 3D, this one comes with a pair of 0.52” LCD displays with resolutions of 960 x 540. Together, the screens create a 3D effect that could pretty much make just about any 320-inch diagonal screen with the same super powers hide its face in shame. Hooked on to an Android 2.2 control box, this one also reads material from SDHC cards in a bunch of video formats. However, Epson seem to have forgotten to educate itself in terms of the word “subtle”.
