Facebook scouts for suicidal beings with new tool

I’m worried about Emo-kind since this subculture totally digs talks of misery and death. Now, with Facebook bringing their suicide-detecting tool in play you know that they’re going to be framed as possible suspects. Well, the tool has a provision for contacts of a disturbed person to notify the 800 million strong social network about the tendancies. The tool will be present in the ‘harmful’ section that appears when you report a particular update or upload. What will follow is the site getting in touch with the person and encouraging a private chat with a representative of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.01.jpg

This feature can be accessed from the Help Center option as well. So far, the service will only breathe on Facebook accounts in the US and Canada, but will soon spread worldwide.
