Apple has been known for its subtle and minimalist yet extremely informative and eye-catching advertising and has come up with some pretty well-remembered advertisement campaigns before. However, Apple’s recent attempt at taking its wares to the public has been ridiculed widely with the new Mac commercials finally being pulled off air after their first week during the Olympics. The supposed man behind these advertisements, executive creative director Scott Trattner of TBWA/Media Arts Lab has now been reported to have moved to a new agency, though Trattner himself claims the move has nothing to do with the failed “Genius” commercials. Well, as far as we’re concerned, the very fact that these advertisements were pulled down has left us smiling and we’d love to see Apple move back to its time-tested modes of grabbing attention.
