Who needs to be remembered in wax at Madame Tussauds, when you can have your image rendered in a pixelated art bust? It certainly seems a lot more appropriate for Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple and chief exec of Pixar animation, to be honored in the latter way. The Steve Jobs pixel bust was designed by Dutch artist Metin Seven (also responsible for the Technabob voxel mascot) and uses a high-tech 3D printing process to reincarnate both retro style and Steve Jobs’ head and shoulders as a permanent lump of art for your desk – although his expression isn’t very happy and I don’t think I’d like him staring at me with that gloomy look on his face all day. Plus, it’s just another thing to dust, and it doesn’t even double-up as an iPad dock! I reckon you’d be best saving up to invest in an iCon iPad dock bed instead.
You can pick up Steve Jobs’ head from shapeways for about $117.
