Ferrite interactive liquid desktop toy helps pass boring work hours

If staring blankly at a lava lamp seems like a great way to kill time, or if sticking your fingers on a plasma lamp makes you giggle like a happy infant, this brilliant innovation by David Markus is bound to have to pretty distracted once placed on your work table. Called the Ferrite, this one’s basically a desktop toy containing ferro-fluid, a liquid like substance made from microscopic iron particles. With a set of magnets provided along with the Ferrite, this interactive liquid sculpture as the designer has termed it, is a fun way to spend those ideal hours at your desk. With a smaller version available christened the Ferro, this interactive desktop toy is currently looking for project support on Kickstarter.com.
