Here’s a cool Android navigator-cum-cellphone (pardon me for calling it that) that’s going to have a fair bunch of loyalists patronizing it. It receives its location information from various sources, such as satellite, network-based as well as terrestrial sources that promised the best location and navigation experience for you. A huge advantage of this phone over most other navigation-based cellphones is that it has the whole world of Garmin’s awesome navigation software installed in it with voice prompts on a turn-by-turn basis, lane assistance, cityXplorer maps and an e-compass. Other specs of the phone include a cool 3.5 HVGA capacitive touchscreen, a 3 megapixel camera, geo-tagging, 4GB internal memory with microSD expansion support and an accelerometer.
The Garmin-Asus nuvifone is also known as the A50. It comes with a Garmin car mount and a vehicle power cable. It will be available in Europe in the first half of this year. You can catch a first glimpse of the same at MWC, this year.
