Garmin’s BarkLimiter and Delta Series grooms a ‘dog of few barks’

Barking dogs seldom bite, but they may be an absolute nuisance, not only to pet owners, but everyone within earshot distance. Garmin, who have their claim to fame in the GPS market, are now taking their innovations to the pooches. The BarkLimiter series of bark reduction collars will use bark identification technology that relies on innovative accelerometer technology. This will help the BarkLimiter distinguish between barking and other vocalization. Smart! Add this to the Advanced Bark Correction Technology that offers consistent and instantaneous correction that reduces false corrections caused by external noises by a substantial amount. But that’s not all. There’s the Delta Series of collars as well that pack a bark collar and training collar into one. The Delta Series offers a virtual leash up to three-quarters of a mile away. It also packs a wide range of customizable correction settings.

The Garmin BarkLimiter ($80), BarkLimiter Deluxe ($100), Delta ($120) and Delta Sport ($250) will all arrive this quarter. Peaceful nights with nothing but writhing crickets are on the horizon, finally!
