Gigabyte U60 UMPC To Show Up At Cebit

Gigabyte is planning a major release. The U60 is a UMPC system that is bound to show up CeBIT next month. Oh boy! This one has already won my heart. It comes with an amazing 6.5” display screen that supports resolutions of 800 x 600. It also has a sleek and stylish keyboard and a 20GB / 30GB hard drive choice. The U60 supports mainly 1.8” hard drives. It also has SD / MMC flash card readers so that you can scale up your storage. The system is driven by a C7-M processor (“?”). And finally we have support for USB in this one so that additional third party devices can be added to it. This baby enters the ring at a mere 1.59 pounds. After all in the gizmo war, the lightest and finest far outrun the mammoths.

However, the price of the U60 UMPC will be found out only by mid-March when it shows up. Till then we can only wait and wonder.
