This glass-bottomed swimming pool on 42nd floor gives you the sensation of floating in the air

If glass-bottomed skywalks and observation decks at the top of skyscrapers weren’t scary enough, a luxury apartment block in Texas has introduced a glass-bottomed rooftop pool, giving swimmers a vertigo-inducing view of the busy street 500 feet below. Dubbed the Sky Pool, it is located on the 42nd floor of the Market Square Tower and extends 10 feet over the side of the imposing Houston building. In a video posted to the building’s official Facebook page, a swimmer gives viewers a bird’s eye view of the ground below and calling it scary doesn’t cut it.

The Sky Pool with the glass bottom extends 10 feet beyond the side of the building and is made out of an eight-inch thick Plexiglas panel. Additional amenities at the luxury tower include a poker suite, indoor basketball court and movie theater, with a unit setting you back between $2400 and a hefty $25,000 per month.
