Every health nut out there will probably agree that Cycling is one of the better ways to stay in shape and it’s great for the environment. But what’s really great about cycling, and I can personally attest to this is, when you travel abroad or you move to a new city and instead of struggling for parking spaces with our car, directions, traffic and such, you can get places quicker and taken the sights better via cycle. So keeping that in mind, Gramin, those navigating geniuses, have designed the first GPS device specifically for the cyclist, the Edge-800.
It’s loaded to the hilt with features that include a 2.6-inch color display, Garmin’s BaseCamp route planning system, and BirdsEye satellite imagery, with the “HotFix” GPS technology to quickly acquire and maintain a signal, and support for a wide range of heart rate monitors, cadence sensors, and other ANT+ devices. It also tracks all of your data for later review if necessary. The Edge-800 will be out in October sometime and will be priced at about $449 or $649 depending on the kind of package you’re looking for in terms of accessories or features probably. I’m no health nut, but there are some places where a map and a cycle just make the trip so much more picturesque than wizzing by in speeding car.
