Greenhhouse KanaSD MP3 player

The KanaSD from Greenhouse Japan is an iPod Shuffle alternative, it supports playback of MP3 / WMA files and has no onboard memory. Instead it has a SD card slot where you a SDHC card upto 8GB, I doubt you will be doing so because the card will be more expensive than an iPod Nano. Basic controls like Play, Stop, Power etc are placed in the popular Click wheel style. The unit connects via USB 2.0 to the host and can be used a card reader as well.

The GH-KANA-SD or KanaSD will be available in white and black colors in Japan for 2,280 Yen ($ 18). The unit measures 56.5×12.8×59.3mm and weighs 26 grams.

  1. Maybe an 8 GB card (for now) but prices keep dropping, and you can get a 1 GB card for $9.99, a 2 GB card for $15 ! This is a great value. If you lose it you’re only out 20 or 30 dollars. That wouldn’t be the case with any iPod

  2. My only problem with this product is – where the heck do you buy one if you live in the USA? Why do the Japanese get the cool products first?? 🙂
