One of the main reasons why I love my iPhone so much is the handsets gaming capabilities. The games developed for this platform are as good as and in some instances better than the PSP’s, not always though (I love my PSP too). The latest in the iPhone gaming arena is augmented reality that uses the handset’s camera as a mode for the game give it a very real feel. Software house Shadowforce has developed a first person shooter for the iPhone where you will play a very real and direct role instead of some character that you’d see only in some cut scene. The game called Gunman will actually allow up to four players to use their iPhone’s camera as a real-time scope to aim and shoot at each other while application is designed to make the handset vibrate if you’ve been hit. To reload, just shake the handset. Kind of like laser tag meets mosquito (you remember, the Symbian S60 game to kill bugs on the screen while moving the handset’s camera around). It’s the first first-person AR (Augmented Reality) shooter.
