Korea based SK telecom and Earthlink’s joint venture “Helio” is officially launched today with their two multimedia phones Hero and Kickflip. There are two plans to choose from the All-In Membership, which includes unlimited data, video, MMS, texting, nights and weekends, roaming, and long distance with the plan; and the A La Carte plan which is as the name implies. The All-in buys you 1000 minutes of talktime for $ 85, 1,500 for $100, or 2,500 minutes for $135. You get 500 minute $ 40 monthly plan with the La Carte. The handset pricing is also announced with the Hero and Kickflip selling for $ 275 and $ 250 respectively.


In addition to Myspace integration and Yahoo portal there is Helio On Top (H.O.T.) access which is a simple 10-channel news and info aggregation feature, MMS picture and video messages, which can be sent up to 1MB per; free streaming video from major networks like MTV, Comedy Central, ABC, etc., Music video downloads are priced at $ 2.49 and games at $ 5.99.
