Hitachi working on world’s first Blu-Ray camcorder



Electronics giant Hitachi is getting set to release the world’s first Blu-ray camcorder. The camcorder will feature an 8cm drive plus there is a built-in 5.3-megapixel-image sensor. Sources reveal that the camcorder will have the capacity to record one hour of video on a single layer of one side of the disk and the disks will be backward compatible with DVDs. The autumn release of the camcorder also sees the launch of Hitachi’s recordable Blu-ray disks. The camcorder will be in the priced around $2000.
