HP introduces Envy 17 3D and Envy 14 Beats Edition

HP are stepping into the 3D notebook field again with a bigger stride. Armed with a 120Hz. 1080p display the Envy 17 will include active shutter glasses that come along with it. It will function well as a movie-focused system and will include a Blu-ray drive and the latest version of the MediaSmart App that plays 3D movies. Additionally it will also include a 2.1-channel in-built Beats audio system, 2 terabyte data storage, a choice of quad-Core i7 chips and Mobility Radeon HD 5850 video support. It will come bundled with a 3D version of the NBA 2010 All-Star Game. There’s no word on the price though.


HP have also conjured up the 14.5 inch Envy 14 that comes in the Beats edition. It will also pack Beats audio hardware, a red keyboard backlight to match the red and black body, 640GB storage, a choice of dual Core i5 chips between 2.53GHz and 2.8GHz, 4GB RAM, Mobility Radeon HD 5650 video and 6.5 hours of battery life. It’s available for $1,250.
