Sony Ericsson, HTC are the few names that run through my mind when I think of smart phones. But the relatively passive smartphone makers, HP has just unleashed new iPaq phone to the US through Cingular. “portable office, ”that’s what the company prefers to call its baby. It supposedly includes connectivity options influenced by the Cingular print. All 6920 models will have support for EDGE and GPRS mobile Internet, Bluetooth, WiFi, and a GPS receiver. Two versions accompany the introduction. It integrates a 1.3-megapixel camera for photos and videos (hey could have pushed in more of resolution !!!); the base xw6920 goes without this feature both to save costs and to be accepted in high-security offices). Memory is also expandable via a Mini SD slot.

You can grab the HP iPaq hw6920 directly for $599.
