HTC Tilt 2 and HTC Pure Windows phone from AT&T

The launch of Windows Mobile 6.5 is just a day away and AT&T has already announced its own Windows phones, the HTC Tilt 2 and HTC Pure. The Pure is the rebranded version of Touch Diamond2 but has some design changes and also the new features of Windows Mobile 6.5 which includes the Microsoft’s MyPhone backup service, an improved Internet Explorer Mobile browser with Flash Lite support and also better navigation tools. A better touch friendly screen with Today screen, Start Menu and Lock screen comes with the phone.


The HTC Pure features a nice design and comes with a 3.2-inch WVGA touch screen with gravity and light sensor. Apart from these, it is also loaded with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and 3G along with a 5 mega-pixel camera and music player. All this for $149.99 with a 2 year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate. This phone will appeal both to the casual as well as the business customers!
The HTC Tilt 2 which will be available in the coming weeks, successor of AT&T Tilt, is a smartphone shipping with Windows Mobile 6.5 out of the box. This smartphone focused at business customers comes with a 3.6-inch WVGA tilting touch screen, a full QWERTY keyboard and Straight Talk Technology for improved speakerphone quality. This phone will cost $299.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate.
