The Korean electronic giant, iriver, partnered with LG to give the world the highest resolution 6-inch e-reader. Hailed as Story HD e-reader, this device features an impressive resolution of an XGA (1024 x 768) screen which is a 63.8 percent jump over the current standards. That’s a big leap and it might just give Amazon’s Kindle a run for their money. Other juicy specifications include Freescale processor, built-in WiFi, as-yet-unknown content access portal, battery life of upto 3 weeks of use, and compatibility with DRM-laced ePUB and PDF files. It is expected to be available for purchase in the 2nd quarter of 2011. Also, people are speculating that it will be priced on par with its competitor’s products. I just hope the price justifies the advantages of having a high-resolution e-reader.
