Worried about security of your precious data? Well, here is some good news for you. LaCie has introduced its new SAFE Mobile Hard Drive for worried users just like you. LaCie claims that the hard-drive is impenetrable. With features like biometric technology i.e. authentication is done with your fingerprints and 24 character based encryption which is unique for each hard-drive, it is sure to live up to the claim. The drive can be set up for up to 5 different users. Each user can be given different read and write privileges, allowing you to share some data while hiding other data. Encryption for each drive is based on a 24 character pass phrase stored on the board. The pass phrase is unique to each drive, making it virtually impossible to crack.

Lacie Safe model is available in a 40GB model for $179.99 or a 120GB variety for $339.99.
